Football Game Preview: Cotopaxi vs. Cripple Creek-Victor

On Friday Cotopaxi take on Cripple Creek-Victor at 1:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.

If Cotopaxi were riding high off their 48-6 takedown of La Veta two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Cotopaxi were completely outmatched, falling 14-68 to Mountain Valley. Cotopaxi's defeat came about despite a quality game from sophomore Peter Belt, who passed for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Cripple Creek-Victor lost to Edison last Saturday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 13-52. This makes it the second loss in a row for Cripple Creek-Victor.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
