Volleyball Recap: Forge Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Forge Christian had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Westminster Wolves on Monday. For the Fury, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Wolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Forge Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-18.

Leading Forge Christian to victory were Seth Davies and Tsetsen Byambatseren. Davies had eight digs and two aces, while Byambatseren had eight digs. That's the most aces Davies has posted over his last eight matches. Joey Shelton also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Omar Silva, who had 13 digs.

Forge Christian picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Westminster, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Forge Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Eagle Ridge Academy on the 1st. As for Westminster, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Rangeview on the 1st.
