Basketball Preview: Crimson Cliffs Mustangs vs. Desert Hills Thunder

Crimson Cliffs is 0-9 against the Thunder since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs will be playing at home against the Desert Hills Thunder at 7:00 p.m. Crimson Cliffs has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28.

Last Thursday, Crimson Cliffs came up short against the Reds and fell 59-48. While losing is never fun, Crimson Cliffs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Reds are ranked 18th).

Loss or not, Crimson Cliffs got some senior leadership from Kenadee Richey and Kinsey Plewe. Richey scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Plewe. scored eight points.

Meanwhile, Desert Hills strolled past the Tigers with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 57-43.

Crimson Cliffs has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Desert Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
