Softball Recap: West Charlotte Comes Up Short

West Charlotte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Berry Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-3 back in March.

West Charlotte's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Berry, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-13 record.

West Charlotte has already played their next match (against Harding University), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Berry, they will face off against Olympic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
