Baseball Preview: Trinity Tigers vs. Collegiate Dutchmen
The Trinity Tigers are headed away from home for the first time to take on the Collegiate Dutchmen at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Last Friday, Trinity came up short against Fieldston and fell 10-7.
Win Nangle led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Tyler Delarosa, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Collegiate had already won five in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Lions.
David Youngwood was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Deblasi, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Collegiate's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Trinity, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
