Recap: Phillipsburg Panthers vs. Hill City Ringnecks
After losing to the Hill City Ringnecks the last time they met, the Phillipsburg Panthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Phillipsburg snuck past Hill City with a 54-50 victory on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Phillipsburg.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Phillipsburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caden Seems, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Trey Carlson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Phillipsburg is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Hill City, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Phillipsburg won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Norton at 4:00 p.m. on January 20th. Norton will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Hill City, they will be playing at home against Smith Center at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Smith Center is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
