Volleyball Recap: Durango Trailblazers vs. Coronado Cougars
Durango was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Coronado Cougars, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.
The final score came out to 25-10, 25-19, 25-11.
Maya Dominguez paced Durango's offense, picking up seven kills. Dominguez got some help from Aracelli Hernandez and her 11 assists.
Leading Coronado to victory were ISABELLE GUERZON and NAKISA FRIEDMAN. GUERZON had 14 digs and three assists, while FRIEDMAN had ten digs and two assists. That's the most assists FRIEDMAN has posted over her last six matches.
Durango's loss dropped their record down to 16-18. As for Coronado, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.
Durango does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coronado, they will host Palo Verde at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
