Basketball Recap: D'Evelyn Takes a Loss

D'Evelyn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Standley Lake Gators, falling 63-19. The contest marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Standley Lake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Titus Schrecengost, who made all 6 shots he took for 16 points along with five assists and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, Schrecengost now owns an excellent 45.9% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Derrek Sims, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 14 points in addition to seven steals and five assists.

D'Evelyn's loss dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Standley Lake, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

D'Evelyn didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-47 victory against Pomona on the 19th. As for Standley Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 52-39 win against Golden on the 19th.
