Baseball Recap: Ashbrook Takes a Loss

Ashbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Kings Mountain Mountaineers, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountaineers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 last Tuesday.

Ashbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Kings Mountain, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ashbrook will welcome Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashbrook has given up an average of 12.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Kings Mountain, they will host Huss at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kings Mountain is facing Huss at the right time seeing as Huss is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
