James Island had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They walked away with a 67-60 victory over the Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Swamp Foxes, too.

It was another big night for Gavin Ward, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 19 points along with seven assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Renault, who went 8 for 11 en route to 19 points and seven rebounds.

Ward wasn't the only one working in the assists department: James Island was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ashley Ridge only racked up five assists.

When it comes to explaining why Ashley Ridge lost, don't look at Clayton Everett Jr. Despite the final result, he went 10 of 17 on his way to 36 points. The matchup was Everett Jr's third in a row with at least ten points. Javion Gathers was another key player, putting up ten points.

James Island is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Ashley Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season.

James Island has already played their next matchup (against West Ashley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ashley Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-48 win against Fort Dorchester on the 31st.
