Basketball Recap: Patterson Skates Past Gunderson with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Patterson). They blew past the Gunderson Grizzlies, posting a 71-42 win. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season.

Justice Goins was nothing short of spectacular: he went 8 of 16 on his way to 21 points in addition to six boards and five assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Johnson, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds.

Goins wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Patterson was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Patterson is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Gunderson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Patterson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-37 loss against West Park on the 28th. Gunderson has also already played their next match, a 68-29 defeat against Union Mine on the 28th.
