Basketball Game Preview: Reading Blue Devils vs. Mercy McAuley Wolves

The Reading Blue Devils just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Mercy McAuley Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Wednesday, Reading lost to Madeira at home by a 42-27 margin. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 449th, while the Mustangs/Amazons are ranked 80th).

Meanwhile, Mercy McAuley was beaten by Mount Notre Dame 56-16 on Tuesday.

Reading has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Mercy McAuley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
