Soccer Game Preview: L'Anse Creuse vs. Dakota

The L'Anse Creuse Lancers will challenge the Dakota Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. L'Anse Creuse knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past 13 matchups -- so hopefully Dakota likes a good challenge.

L'Anse Creuse's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Roseville. The result was nothing new for L'Anse Creuse, who have now won 12 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dakota). They blew past Port Huron Northern 7-2 on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Dakota with their most commanding win of the season.

L'Anse Creuse's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 52 goals over those nine matches. As for Dakota, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.
