Softball Recap: Brown County Takes a Loss

Brown County lost against Greenfield/Northwestern last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets lost 20-5 to the Tigers.

Lilly Ham made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Joie Ham, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Brown County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-13-1.

Coming up, Brown County is taking a road trip to face off against Augusta Southeastern at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, they will host Carlinville at 4:30 p.m. on the 14th.
