Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Forest walked away with it. They walked away with an 18-7 victory over the Choctaw Central Warriors on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Bearcats, who have now won four games in a row.

One reason for the win was Forest's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. In that department, Gregory Keeton was the leader with two. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Xavion Kincaid got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Forest's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Choctaw Central, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-4.

Looking ahead, Forest will welcome Poplarville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Choctaw Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
