Volleyball Game Preview: Lemmon Cowboys vs. Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig] Storm

The Lemmon Cowboys will head out on the road to challenge the Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig] Storm at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lemmon will be strutting in after a win while Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig] will be coming in after a defeat.

Lemmon took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Philip with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Lemmon walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig] came up short against New England on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Storm in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

While Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig] was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-23.

Lemmon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig], their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything went Lemmon's way against Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig] in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Lemmon made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
