Basketball Game Preview: Humboldt Vikings vs. West Carroll War Eagles

The Humboldt Vikings will head out to take on the West Carroll War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Humboldt has six straight victories, West Carroll has 14 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Saturday, Humboldt earned a 60-50 win over Covington.

Meanwhile, West Carroll was beaten by Halls 63-27 on Friday.

Humboldt's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for West Carroll, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.

Everything came up roses for Humboldt against West Carroll when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 90-60 win. Will Humboldt repeat their success, or does West Carroll have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
