Baseball Recap: Valders Takes a Loss

Valders was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 5-1 to the New Holstein Huskies. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Valders saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Starr, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Starr's first of the season.

Valders now has a losing record of 3-4. As for New Holstein, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4.

While Valders had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
