Volleyball Recap: Weld Central Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Weld Central was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bennett last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rebels came up short against the Platte Valley Broncos on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Rebels in their meetings with the Broncos: they've now lost six in a row.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-15.

Katelyn Nuanes paced Weld Central's offense, picking up ten kills. Nuanes got some help from Makayla Milligan and her six assists.

Weld Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Platte Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Weld Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Lupton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Platte Valley, they will take on Air Academy in a tournament on Friday.
