Basketball Recap: Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Comes Up Short

Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton lost against Ada-Borup back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 67-60 to the Ada-Borup Cougars, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ada-Borup's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Austin McCraven led the charge by going 5 for 8 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. McCraven's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadyn Dahl, who posted 22 points.

Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Ada-Borup, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton and Albert Lea will round out the year against one another at at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Albert Lea knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton likes a good challenge. As for Ada-Borup, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Win-E-Mac at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
