Recap: East Ridge Pioneers vs. Carolina International Comets
If the East Ridge Pioneers were riding high off their 69-42 takedown of the Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Eagles last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. East Ridge took a hard 60-44 fall against Carolina International on Thursday.
Carolina International's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Steven Jefferson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Davis, who scored 15 points.
East Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Carolina International, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-5.
East Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hickory Ridge at 10:00 a.m. on December 22nd. Carolina International and Carmel Christian will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. on December 30th at.
