Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Trinity Christian Academy played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Ozarks Christian Academy Guardians and fell 67-38. The Eagles were down 59-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Defeat or not, Trinity Christian Academy got some senior leadership from Cameron Stauffer and Sayer Naughter. Stauffer posted 14 points, while Naughter put up seven points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Caden Herd, who earned five points.

Leading Ozarks Christian Academy to victory were Dj Cobban and Jude Morrison. Cobban dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards, while Morrison dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Brennan Shipley was another key player, putting up 12 points and five rebounds.

Trinity Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Ozarks Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Trinity Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-31 defeat against Victory Road Christian Academy on the 28th. As for Ozarks Christian Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Heritage Academy at 11:30 a.m. on February 8th.
