Baseball Recap: Castro Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Oakland Tech last Wednesday, Castro Valley came back down to earth. Castro Valley took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Lions on Friday. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Castro Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braden Spade, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Arthur Sims also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Castro Valley's record now sits at 6-3. As for Liberty, their record is now 4-2.

Looking ahead, Castro Valley will be playing at home against Bishop O'Dowd at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty, they will square off against Tracy at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday.
