Volleyball Game Preview: Maryvale Panthers vs. Cesar Chavez Champions

The Maryvale Panthers will take on the Cesar Chavez Champions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Maryvale has three straight victories, Cesar Chavez has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Monday, Maryvale got the win against Camelback by a conclusive 3-0.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Maryvale was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Cesar Chavez came up short against Browne on Thursday and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16, 24-26, 25-19.

Cesar Chavez's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Maryvale, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Everything went Maryvale's way against Cesar Chavez in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Maryvale made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Champions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
