 Woods Cross had to endure  an  eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the East Leopards with a sharp  18-11 victory on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Woods Cross also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2017.
 Woods Cross got a  massive  performance out of  Natalie Wall, who  went 2-for-4 with four  runs, a  triple,  and a  double.  Savannah Juggert was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.
 On East's side,  Liily Maughan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kylee Grant, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Even though they lost, East  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with eight  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woods Cross only tossed four.
 Woods Cross' win  ended  a  12-game drought at home  dating back to last season and  bumped them up to 2-15. As for East, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record  this season.
 Woods Cross will head out on the road to  square off against  Northridge at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Woods Cross is facing Northridge at the right time seeing as Northridge is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Highland is coming into the  contest with seven straight  defeats on the road,  meaning East will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  victory.
