Soccer Game Preview: Chippewa vs. Mineral Ridge

The Chippewa Chipps will take on the Mineral Ridge Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Chippewa will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Waynedale, who they had gone 1-7-1 against in their nine prior meetings. The Chipps blew past the Golden Bears 6-1 on Wednesday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-1.

Chippewa hit Waynedale with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Luke Blaz (3), Sam Siniscalchi (2), and Parker West.

Meanwhile, Mineral Ridge entered their tilt with Liberty on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Leopards get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Give Mineral Ridge's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Chippewa's win bumped their record up to 6-10-1. As for Mineral Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3-2.
