Baseball Recap: Flagler Palm Coast Takes a Loss

In Monday's Canine Competition, Flagler Palm Coast didn't have enough. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lyman Greyhounds on Monday.

Nole Hemmerle was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Brenin Striplin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Even though they lost, Flagler Palm Coast was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Flagler Palm Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Lyman, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10.

Coincidentally, Flagler Palm Coast and Lyman will both be playing Timber Creek the next time they take the field. Lyman will host Timber Creek at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Flagler Palm Coast will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
