Softball Recap: Augustine Prep Comes Up Short

Augustine Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 20-15 to the Cudahy Packers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Packers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-8 last Wednesday.

Valeria Dominguez led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with six stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Carmella Medina-Mella was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with six stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Augustine Prep's record is now 1-7. As for Cudahy, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-13.

Augustine Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cudahy, they will be playing at home against Milwaukee Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
