Softball Recap: St. Charles Comes Up Short

St. Charles lost against Lackey two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. St. Charles fell just short of Lackey by a score of 5-4. St. Charles' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

St. Charles' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lackey, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Coming up, St. Charles will welcome Northern at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so St. Charles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
