Baseball Recap: Fairhope Gets the Win

Fairhope won the last time they faced Bayside Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Fairhope Pirates skirted past the Bayside Academy Admirals 3-2.

Jordan Miles tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dagan Jones, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he's launched this season. Another player making a difference was Braxton Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Fairhope now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bayside Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairhope is headed away from home for the first time to square off against UMS-Wright Prep at 5:00 p.m. on March 4th. As for Bayside Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Smiths Station at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
