Basketball Preview: Elba Bluejays vs. Twin Loup Wolves
Elba is 0-10 against the Wolves since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Elba Bluejays will head out on the road to square off against the Twin Loup Wolves at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Elba and six for the Wolves.
Elba struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Red Hornets had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Elba had to suffer through a rough 65-28 loss at the hands of the Red Hornets. Elba was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-11.
Elba's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Addison Wysocki, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks, and JarahLynn Morrow who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and three steals. Wysocki is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Twin Loup ended up a good deal behind the Coyotes on Thursday and lost 62-43.
Elba has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Twin Loup, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
Elba suffered a grim 55-31 defeat to the Wolves in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Elba avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
