Baseball Game Preview: Patrician Academy Saints vs. Clarke Prep Gators

Patrician Academy is 0-4 against Clarke Prep since February of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Patrician Academy Saints will challenge the Clarke Prep Gators at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.

Patrician Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 10-1 margin over Hooper Academy.

Bryson Reid made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Reid was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Ethan Carr was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Matthew Mize was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Clarke Prep got themselves on the board against Hooper Academy on Thursday, but Hooper Academy never followed suit. They blew past the Colts 12-0.

Patrician Academy might still be hurting after the 13-2 defeat they got from Clarke Prep in their previous matchup back in March of 2020. Can Patrician Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
