Basketball Recap: Karlierose Lealaisalanoa and Aryanna Watson Secure Win for Service

Service won the last time they faced South Anchorage and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Service Cougars strolled past the South Anchorage Wolverines with points to spare, taking the game 60-45. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 24th, while the Wolverines are ranked 86th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Service to victory were Aryanna Watson and Karlierose Lealaisalanoa. Watson posted 17 points, while Lealaisalanoa put up 16 points. Watson's evening made it 12 games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sialeia Silva, who had ten points.

The victory made it two in a row for Service and bumps their season record up to 12-8. As for South Anchorage, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, Service and South Anchorage will both be playing Bettye Davis East Anchorage the next time they take the court. South Anchorage will host Bettye Davis East Anchorage at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Service will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
