Baseball Game Preview: Columbus North Bull Dogs vs. Silver Creek Dragons

The Columbus North Bull Dogs will square off against the Silver Creek Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Columbus North's victory against Shelbyville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bull Dogs won by a run and slipped past the Golden Bears 9-8. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Brock Kintner was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Columbus North is undefeated when Kintner posts two or more runs, but 3-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Newman, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Columbus North always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Silver Creek waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pirates a 4-0 shutout.

Silver Creek's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Columbus North, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
