Burke County extended their postseason success on Friday against Rockmart. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 41-40 victory over the Yellowjackets. Things were looking grim for the Bears in the second quarter (they were down by 20) but they stormed back to get the contest.

It was another big night for Sean Vandiver, who rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 221 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt.
