            Softball Recap: Desert Vista Thunder vs. Flowing Wells Caballeros        
        
		
        
        
            Desert Vista had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Flowing Wells Caballeros as the Desert Vista Thunder made off with  a  20-2 win.

 Zhalia Asi was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Asi was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with three  doubles, four  RBI,  and one  run. Those  three  doubles gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Ava Briski was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. What's more,  she posted three  hits, the most she's  had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Takoah Jones, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2.
 Desert Vista  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .786. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Flowing Wells only posted  an  OBP of  .200.
 Desert Vista wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  match,  a  16-0  victory against Willcox on the 26th. As for Flowing Wells, they have also  already played their next game,  a  5-4  win against Rincon/University on the 26th.
