Basketball Game Preview: Sneads Pirates vs. Blountstown Tigers

The Sneads Pirates just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Blountstown Tigers at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Sneads is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Sneads was beaten by Munroe 68-35.

Blountstown got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 47-39 win over Cottondale on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Blountstown found their leader in freshman Cyion Smith, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds. Smith is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Curtis Ellis, who posted 11 points.

Blountstown's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Sneads, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Sneads beat Blountstown 56-44 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Will Sneads repeat their success, or does Blountstown have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
