League recap: Greeneville bests Cumberland Gap in blowout

Greeneville took down Cumberland Gap 60-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Chuckey-Doak made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,140 from 9,649. The improvement came about via a 55-25 victory over North Greene last week.

The Panthers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Blake Franklin threw for 54 and one touchdown and Wesley Nance had 19 yards receiving. On the ground Franklin chipped in 52 yards. Jordan Teague helped Cumberland Gap's passing attack out by catching two balls for 14 yards.

Cumberland Gap's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Franklin has thrown for 1033 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Dylan Gambel has 21 catches for 351 yards. Nance leads the league in rushing with 652 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Green Devils take on the Black Knights. Greeneville is currently in third, while Chuckey-Doak is in second.

Caine Ballard's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 60 points on Cumberland Gap.
