American won the last time they faced Braddock and things went their way on Saturday too. The American Patriots walked away with a 9-5 win over the Braddock Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Mia Harrison was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Chayla Wright was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Nathalie Armas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

American was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They are 7-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

American's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Braddock, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. American will host Somerset Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. American is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Braddock, they will face off against Coral Gables at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Braddock is facing Coral Gables at the right time seeing as Coral Gables is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
