Basketball Recap: Narragansett Has No Trouble Against Chariho

While Narragansett didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-13-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took down the Chariho Chargers 60-43 on Wednesday. The Mariners have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Chargers, too.

Chariho lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dayton Lee, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rohan Downing, who put up four points and six steals.

The win made it two in a row for Narragansett and bumps their season record up to 6-3. As for Chariho, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Narragansett will host West Warwick at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in West Warwick's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for Chariho, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against South Kingstown at 6:45 p.m. South Kingstown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65 points per game this season.
