Basketball Recap: Melvin Mcniven's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Burlington over Saratoga + How To Watch

If Burlington was riding high fresh off their 59-37 takedown of HEM on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saratoga Panthers on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Melvin Mcniven, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Mcniven has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 67% every time he's hit the court this season. Bitner Philpott was another key player, going 5-for-11 en route to 12 points along with five boards and four steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Burlington fell to 2-1.

Burlington has already played their next contest, a 49-38 win against Casper Christian on the 13th. As for Saratoga, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-39 victory against HEM on the 13th.
