Softball Recap: Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) Takes Down Coral Springs Charter in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) walked away with it. They won by a run and slipped past the Coral Springs Charter Panthers 4-3. The Stallions haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ava Stevens spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Leilani Gonzalez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Taylor Rebhan, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Somerset Academy (Silver Palms)'s record is now 22-6. As for Coral Springs Charter, they moved to 23-4 with that defeat, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.
