Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lyman). Everything went their way against the Winter Springs Bears on Friday as the Lyman Greyhounds made off with a 35-14 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Greyhounds have posted since August 24th.

Lyman was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 216 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2023.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lyman's defense and their five sacks. Leading the way was Vincenzo Jones with two.

Winter Springs lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Makiye Mcburse, who threw for 169 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also punched in a rushing score.

Lyman's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Winter Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Lyman and Hagerty will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hagerty is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 28.2 points per game this season. As for Winter Springs, they will venture away from home to square off against Lake Howell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Winter Springs is facing Lake Howell at the right time seeing as Lake Howell is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
