Baseball Recap: Carbon Hill Takes a Loss

Carbon Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-5 to the Hubbertville Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 last Thursday.

Carbon Hill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Taylor has posted since back in February of 2024.

Carbon Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Hubbertville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Carbon Hill will face off against Meek at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Carbon Hill has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Hubbertville, they will head out on the road to take on Sulligent at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
