Baseball Recap: Lawrence Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

Lawrence proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by nine) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Chelmsford Lions, sneaking past 4-3. That's more bragging rights for the Lancers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lawrence pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average this season. As for Chelmsford, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
