Pantego Christian waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Garner Longhorns. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Pantego Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-22.

Natalie Norton paced Pantego Christian's offense, picking up 18 kills. Norton got some help from Keeley Shortes and her 16 assists. Norton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, Garner still got an impressive performance from Tarryn Wakefield, who had 12 digs.

Pantego Christian's victory bumped their record up to 25-3. As for Garner, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pantego Christian will challenge Coram Deo Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Garner, they will square off against Lipan at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
