            Softball Recap: Greenville Yellow Jackets vs. Sparta Spartans        
        
		
        
        
            Tuesday just wasn't the day for Greenville's offense. They took  a  4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sparta Spartans on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 12  runs in the game before, the Yellow Jackets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Jenna Jenks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and one unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Greenville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Drew Galey, who  went 1-for-3 with one  double.
Greenville's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Sparta, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.
While Greenville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
