The Bartram Trail Bears will venture away from home to take on the Bishop Snyder Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, Bartram Trail didn't have quite enough to beat Bolles and fell 5-4. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Croix DiBacco was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Dominic Cantona made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. Max Wilkerson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Bishop Snyder waltzed into their matchup on Monday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Broncos a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.
Cole Dennis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Cody Boshell was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-2. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Josh Murray also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
Bishop Snyder was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .478. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Bishop Snyder's record is now 17-5. As for Bartram Trail, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.
Bartram Trail might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Bishop Snyder in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
