Central Dauphin and Cedar Cliff are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Rams will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Colts at 4:15 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Central Dauphin 2.4, Cedar Cliff 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Central Dauphin lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Chambersburg, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Rams' pitchers stepped up to hand the Trojans an 8-0 shutout on Monday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.
Alex Scaringi was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Central Dauphin got a great performance from Chase Shrader as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Shrader also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Rams are 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise.

Back at the plate, Evan Londono was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Tommy Powell was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Cedar Cliff and Cumberland Valley, and Cedar Cliff kept the tradition alive. The Colts came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 5-0 on Monday.
Like Central Dauphin, Cedar Cliff also got a great game from a two-way player: Peyton Price. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Price has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Price wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Grant Enders, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Enders has hit this season. Another was Ian Ripple, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
Cedar Cliff has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Central Dauphin, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
Central Dauphin skirted past Cedar Cliff 7-5 in their previous matchup back in March. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Colts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
