Football Recap: Woodbridge Takes a Loss

Woodbridge faced Sussex Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Raiders were dealt a 40-6 loss at the hands of the Golden Knights. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.

Leading Sussex Central to victory were Armon Floyd-Satchell and Josiah Cannon. Floyd-Satchell gained 49 total yards and two touchdowns, while Cannon threw for 75 yards and one TD on only five passes. The dominant performance also gave Cannon a new career-high in passer rating (143.8).

Woodbridge now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Sussex Central, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, Woodbridge will host Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sussex Central, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Hodgson Vo-Tech at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
